Im going to leave a reply that is irrelevant to this post.

So, my internet at home was down for almost 3 weeks. I get it back, join a pub server and end up on top. I then goto a pickup and it seems that every single one of the players that played in that pickup were clueless. They had no idea what to do, where to go, how to counter a team, the captains cannot choose players correctly nor can they even lead teams. Its as if we just started playing a brand new game. How can this be? you dont need to have the best aim to out do someone else. sigh.

Regarding this post, its holidays, everyone is doing there own bit of things. Its the same group of guys that have clans, also if you think about it, it is the same lot of guys that started with TF2 back in 2007 that have clans. I think newer players have become to arrogant to create clans with weaker players because they are embarrassed of losing to someone that they think is weaker than them.

Why is everyone debating pickups and comparing them to pubs?

IMO that isn't the issue here. If people are interested in improving competitive TF2 everyone would be better off spending their time forming new clans and getting better as a team and playing against other clans. This is the only way things will improve, having more people playing pickups isn't really going to help.

Well I don't think we need more servers at the moment and a 6vs6 public server is not gonna help at all. We have over 20 servers and only 2 publics (not always full) 1 pickup are used regulary but not everyday. Maybe we could try class limitation on one of the public server to see if can work like a highlander and get players more organized. But we facing a worst problem and thats is 'the players' TF2 players are less active and some already gone of the game. Like ToAsT said if we dont have active players we can't grow the community!
