Team Fortress Arcade

Team Fortress 2 has been one of the games I’ve spent way too much time playing and even with the influx of Free To Play noobs, the hours just keep clocking up. For TF2 fans who want a change from the usual gameplay but don’t want to stray from the familiarity of the game, one-man development house Epic Ruth Games has revealed the side-scrolling beat-em-up version of the game called Team Fortress Arcade.

Team Fortress Arcade features 9 playable classes with abilities and health consistent with the actual game. There are also scenarios such as the Payload mechanic which makes the game not stray too far from the original. The style is very reminiscent of Scott Pilgrim on PS3 and Xbox, but the difference is that Team Fortress Arcade will be released as a free download later this summer from the Epic Ruth Games website this summer. Question is, will there be 2fort?

This is an informative video for players that want to get into the competitive scene and learn about the basics. This video was made by Extine who is the founder of eXtv which does a lot of shoutcasting for TF2 and other games. This video is not only for “new” players but also existing players that want to learn a bit more. There is no limit to how much you can learn in tf2 and watching this video will better your understand on the concept of tf2 on a competitive level.
