I believe the HLStatsX rankings score using an “elo” like system – you get more points for killing someone ranked above you and less for someone ranked below you; and you lose more points for getting killed by someone below you and lose less points for getting killed by someone above you. So as your ranking improves it’s harder to keep it up.

You also get extra points for assists, ubers, etc. Because of these your score almost always goes up, making HLStatsX rank more of a reflection of how much you play than how good you are.

Yea Shadowrizla, scoring works on a strange way. I would play 2.5hours get 200+ Kills and a KDR of 3 and would only get like 33 points. When the stats was initialized on SGS i would do the same as mentioned above and get 1000+ points.

They try to keep it close and fair, so one guy cant go play 1000hours and then be 1st just coz he played 1000hours and gets like 1000 points everyday coz of his playtime and kills and another guy can only play 1hour a day, making it impossible to be 1st coz he can only get 100 points per day. So then the guy that is 1st would just run away with the points and no one would be able to catch up with him.

Always try to see the negative hey? I was just saying it as a joke. I honesty dont care about my rank. As that says nothing about how good you are…
