Jim's tend to be the younger players and should also take into account that any team based game's teams are division based, and there is a need for division 2 and 3 and so on. If there was consistency with Jim and Jim made an effort to fight through losses as a team and keep trying then we would see a much more rounded and diverse community, giving said Jim a division in which he/she can find success of their own.

Well said enemy! At the moment we actually need few Jim's as they can help to filter some players that are really interested on TF2 competitive. Is just one of those cases where a good balance is needed to make and not break a healthy growth of competitive community.

Jim forms the large percentage of the lower tier clans. Without Jim there would be no low tier. Even the international communities have them. The goal is to ensure Jim stays interested in competitive gaming. Once that's accomplished, the goal is to increase the average player's skill. Because with that increased, both sects of the skill majorities will feel the effect.

Thus everyone will get better. As games go - the more a game's competitive community stagnates, the worse players get. The average player skill level is -not- the same as it was 2 months ago, it's not nearly as high. This is made obvious to me through playing, previously, high tier clans.

Only once people start improving, will Jim's clans start having an impact. At the moment Jim's clans do not have an impact on any section of the community. Thus he loses his use as a meat of a certain tier. Thus disallows the clans that are more serious to use Jim as a stepping ladder.

Remember, there are usually only a few promising teams in a community, and many teams that are just your average run of the mill 2-month-long teams.

To sum it up, Jim is too shit, he makes no impact, thus he is not of any importance to us, to get Jim good; we need to get better, so that Jim's average skill goes up, and he starts becoming useful.

Freaking Jim's !!! I think the average of mature players on SA gaming communities is so low that too many inmature Jim's pop out all over. We really need to work around to help change that mindset.
